Process of Decision Making

It should be understood that the decision-making process is a very complex and responsible step. Many people underestimate its importance, putting the development of the product itself in the first place. However, despite this, choosing the right solution is the final stage of product implementation and the overall concept depends on it. Thus, it can be said that all the work done can be spoiled by the fact that the decision made in a collegial meeting does not correspond to what the customer expects. This means multiple risks for the company and loss of the most precious resource – time. It plays a vital role throughout the creation of the product. Therefore, it is crucial to take enough of it during the final stage of product preparation, which directly influences the whole concept of creation and introduction of the product into society.

According to the project, it was clear that to make a decision one must first discover options, acquire data, and evaluate potential outcomes. This is what we mean by the term “decision-making.” We may have made a more considered decision by organizing pertinent facts and outlining alternatives when you follow a step-by-step decision-making procedure. The more options we had, the more likely it was that one picks the best one. Deciding on a course of action was essential in decision making, in which one is to come to terms with the fact that you must choose a choice (Dos Santos, 2019). In this case, we made effort to pinpoint the specifics of the decision one needs to make.

Collecting relevant data is the next step to find what information is needed and where to get it before making a final decision. Inner and outside “labors” are both required in this level. A self-assessment will help to find the information one is looking for because some of it is internal. Other sources of knowledge include the internet, books, other individuals, and a variety of other persons and sources. The third step is to look for alternatives, the more information you acquire, the more options one would likely see. A list of all feasible and desirable alternatives is created in this step.

Quantitative or Qualitative Nature of Decisions

Although there is a relatively narrow range of choice features in decision-making, namely only quantitative and qualitative, it is essential to understand that there is a massive difference between the two. For each servant, it is necessary to take a clear position based on one of the two named ways at the moment of the final choice. In this particular case, which is discussed in this paper, it is more suitable to combine the two types at the same time at different stages. At the initial phase of product planning, it is necessary to use quantitative analysis because based on its results, it will be possible to draw basic figures, which can be oriented in the creation of the product or provision of services. At a later stage, it is advisable to consider the qualitative factor because based on the results obtained, you will have an idea of the product itself and the type it should take. It can be said that the proper decision-making structure has been chosen based on the research which is intended to be analyzed. In addition, using the combined method brings less risk when placing the product on the market and will show the producer’s interest to achieve the best possible result.

System 1- or System 2-Type Thinking

First of all, one needs to understand which type is best suited to make the decision of the project in question. It is obvious that the second type will be much more helpful in this case. It allows to calculate all the possible consequences of the following decision and argue the importance of each of the parties. The first type, associated with a subconscious level, will be much more helpful in the initial stages of development. It is essential to understand the thinking of the user who will work with the product in the future when creating the product. Such an approach allows you to create a comfortable environment for customers and show a willingness to develop a user-friendly product that meets all their needs.

Integrative Nature of Decisions

Differentiating decision-making methods is essential, there is a field of study known as “decision science” that seeks to construct formal models of how individuals should reason and make decisions (Balusa, 2019). They are highly structured because they are founded on the assumptions of “rational” persons with complete knowledge. Because they have limited information, limited processing capacity, and often make satisfactory judgments rather than ideal ones, it argues that people break the restrictions set by rationality.

A decision-making process is seen as an organizational process from both the group and the organization’s viewpoints. This school of thought identifies the dangers (e.g., groupthink) and recommends best practices for managing group decision making. It is also argued that decision-making cannot be characterized in general terms and so cannot be codified in models or procedures using the naturalistic approach. Using a decision tree, you may visually represent a decision-making process by arranging decisions, environmental conditions, and outcomes in a logical chronological sequence. A decision tree can be created from any decision table, but the reverse is not true.

Benefits of Collaboration

Since, as already mentioned, time is a very important resource, working in a team allows to save it and focus on more important stages or to deepen your analysis of decision-making. By creating a single platform where all materials and papers may be accessed by everyone. Aside from saving time, one do not have to waste time searching for documents or seeking out information (Balusa, 2019). The days of wasting time checking to see if one is working with the most recent version are over. Therefore, coworkers regard these modifications as difficulties to overcome. When working together, coworkers tend to get to know one another better. Make new friends and enhance your relationship with your coworkers by participating in a coworker appreciation event by having a positive work environment boosts one’s self-confidence.

Theory of Thinking

Using his own children as participants, Jean Piaget created innovative and easy experiments to demonstrate how cognitive thought progresses. Individuals’ acts and reactions in response to their environment are what he described as “behavior.” Because humans lack the instinctual responses of animals and birds, they must continually innovate in order to deal with the ever-changing environment (Dos Santos, 2019). When a lamb or newborn is born, it already learns how to flee danger and how to tell what is edible and what is not.

Based on this information, we can say that people’s thinking is still a mystery, but the basic actions can still be predicted. This means that every decision we make allows us to consider how society may accept it and what kind of reaction our choices will provoke. From this we can also conclude that in the future it will still be necessary to spend a lot of time analyzing and collecting data in order to make the right decision. With the development of computerization and the fact that people are becoming more predictable, the choice of decision may become subconscious, which will make it easier for those who make it.
