The Health Policy Event you choose to attend must be related to the current week’s topics and have taken place within the last two years. The general topic is the financing of health care in the America, and why costs are so high. You can focus on government programs like Medicare or Medicaid, the ACA, and trends in private health insurance. So, you have lots of choices. You can also use the sources listed in slides 6 and 7 of the instructor’s notes for the zoom class on Sept 18.
PLEASE DO NOT PICK AN EVENT THAT COVERS THE SAME TOPIC AS THE ONE FOR THE 2ND EVENT ASSIGNMENT (OCTOBER 3) ON SINGLE-PAYER HEALTHCARE, ALSO IN THIS MODULE.
