The study

The study of Cimpian et al. (2012) is one of the clear examples of how people’s worldview affects their actions. According to the research, children knowing about being part of a team, “have little control over their achievement outcomes, but it also heightens their concern about these outcomes” (Cimpian et al., 2012, p. 538). Indeed, in theory, they should feel more confident, knowing that specific characteristics are the same for many people like them. However, in reality, they are trying to achieve success and live up to expectations, which leads to multiple concerns. These results can be used in various fields of human activity. For example, in working and student groups, it is vital to make people understand that they are in an equal position. They do not need to prove anything because they will not be compared with anyone. This will help create a calm and trusting atmosphere, which will lead to better performance.

The results of the study

The results of the study can be used in work related to the education of children, for instance, in the design of educational toys. It is necessary to create them in such a way that children understand that anyone, regardless of various factors, can solve the tasks related to these toys. A striking example is the sexual differentiation of toys: they differ in color, shape, and other parameters. This makes children at a subconscious level feel the inequality and strive to be successful in completing tasks made by adults while using these toys. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary stress, it is critical to consider this parameter when creating new toys. This will allow children to more successfully cope with learning tasks and, therefore, develop faster.
