It is accepted to divide the epochs of the development of humanity and its spheres of activity into different periods. Therefore, this work aims to examine how the Enlightenment influenced the society of the eighteenth century and still finds echoes in the modern world. The figures who supported this movement criticized the traditional authority and believed that changes should take place rationally, reasonably, and thoughtfully.

In the Enlightenment era, many different trends were created, including books, articles, essays that were particularly popular, and laws. This is because one of the fundamental human rights is the right to vote. Enlightenment also had its unique contribution to the fight against the excesses of the church and aimed to be the most important source of knowledge (Porter 30). As for the modern world, thanks to education, people have a modern educational system, medical technologies, and strategies for the development of democracy, which protects human rights. One of the spheres that this ideology sought to transform was the church and faith. Hence, it was believed that it was quite easy to doubt the legitimacy that was given by God. Moreover, the emphasis was placed on granting rights to the population, without which it is now impossible to imagine modern politics and all the organism’s activities. Theories are formed about the relationship between the state and its subjects. The state offered protection to its subjects, and in return, they swore their loyalty.

In addition, this work examines the question of the value of the Enlightenment and what contribution it made, both to people and modern societies. The most important example may be the integration and dissemination of human rights and the maintenance of their importance, which made these rights more egalitarian and contributed to major change. For modern people, this theory plays a role because it attracts an emotional component.
