In this paper I want to express my opinion through my adventure which I had few weeks ago. Well, few weeks ago I’d have said that I don’t know these feelings, however in August I had an incredible trip by Erasmus+ Exchange in Slovenia, which was changed my life. My Latvian team and I went to Slovenia, where we did a lot of captivating things. We discussed how teenagers can cope with a lot of information nowadays, we visited capital of Slovenia – Ljubljana, we were doing hiking to on the top of local mountains, ate a lot of ice cream, discussed our goals and dreams, etc., which I’ll tell below.
Firstly, how I got on this exchange, I was looking up some places which I can visit during my vacation and bumped on the post in Facebook. Guys searched one more guy with knowledge of English from exchange in Slovenia; all what needs to do that fill online form. After couple of days one man wrote me and say what I was accepted. I was so surprised and at the same time felt joy that I would spend my vacation with benefits.
Out trip started with dating between team members in airport where we flight to Vienna. That was our first stop on the way to Slovenia. We arrived at 10am local time and have around 6 hours till our bus which had to deliver us to Slovenia, Maribor. Of course, we decided to walked around the city and would see amazing local architecture. All our walking was with big amount of luggage because we didn’t find some free lockers for them. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying the streets, buildings and old town. And finally at 5 pm we left the bus station and headed to Slovenia, where we will spend 6 incredible days.
During these 6 days we learned how to handle information, stop procrastinating and finally start achieving our goals. That was the main task of the exchange. We were doing all stuff from 10am till 5pm; after 5pm we had free time, we walked through the old streets of Maribor, made some shots of local views, talked about various topics, shared our experiences. I met a lot of captivating people: doctors, lawyers, engineers and I’m so grateful for this meeting.
And now, finally we come to the main point of the story. I didn’t feel something special during this adventure, in spite of I did a lot of things at first time: the first trip abroad Latvia, the first fly on an airplane, hiking, I got over my comfort zone for real. And all these things I understood only when come at home and closed the door. I understood this adventure is over. I started to feel all these emotions when I was lay on my lovely bed.
